All Dip-Pack requires is the name of the client, the name of the hunting outfitter or professional hunter (PH) who will be conducting the hunt and the hunt itinerary. We then contact the outfitter and liase with him throughout, ensuring that your trophies receive prompt attention.
Collection of Trophies
We arrange for collection of the trophies as soon as we have been advised by the outfitter/PH that they are ready. We check the quality of the field preparation that has been done, and should there be a problem, we advise the outfitter accordingly.
When collecting trophies, we may need to make use of courier services. Where this is necessary, only the costs incurred are for the client’s account. Dip-Pack does not levy additional charges for the courier service.
Full raw preparation is done according to US and EU specifications. Our dipping facilities have been approved and certified by the South African Department of Agriculture, under which falls the Department of Veterinary Services, as being of international standard. Our staff are fully trained in dipping trophies.
We apply for all export permits, including CITES where required, and all veterinary export certificates.
All crates are packed and sealed on site. We use only sturdy crates, made from wood and plywood, which are custom‑built for each consignment.
In addition to hunting trophies, we pack and ship clients’ curios. Where we dip and pack trophies for a client who also has curios that he wants exported under separate consignment, the documentation fees for the curios are waived. This service affords our clients the freedom to purchase gifts, knowing they can get them home safely.
We are also associated with a leather goods manufacturer and pack and ship leather goods, from wallets to jackets, gun-bags or briefcases, whether these are made to order from skins hunted by the client or readily available.
